Creative writing using photos

The following 6 worksheets each contain a photograph, taken in and around the islands, that you may like to use to inspire creative writing.

Each is accompanied by a few sentences of explanation and a few word ideas that the children may wish to use.

I have found it best to devote a few minutes to discussion before starting on the writing, exchanging ideas, asking and posing questions etc.

It may be a good idea to emphasise, with the photo of the crocodile, that this type of thing is VERY rare on the islands and that children (and teachers) are in no danger of being eaten !! However, it could be a very good picture to get imaginations going!

The other pictures show things from daily life around and about HUG House and the schools.
